9 months maximum welfare benefits.
Too many work shy people are sitting on the dole without looking for work. This is especially true for those in council housing or rented accomodation. A 9 month maximum period for welfare should be set. 9 months is long enough for anyone to find a job. Once you start a new job and the contract ends then the 9 month period would start again when you sign on.
