act on the Iain Duncan Smith petition on change.org

Additional Information

A quarter of a million people have signed a petition on change.org, calling on Iain Duncan Smith to live up to his statement that he could get by on £53 per week by doing so for a year.

The government should recognise the strength of public feeling being expressed - a parliamentary debate should be held on this matter.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
