Petition Action

Action should be taken to block the 34 page contract inflicted on the British Olympic team, in defiance of their Human Rights, for commercial gain

Additional Information

Locog and the BOA have acted to control the actions of our British Olympians for commercial gain - in defiance of their Human Rights (the right to freedom of expression being only one of them) and individuality.

Further, they have enforced their rules preventing the Olympians from even commenting on the rules.

As all our Olympic hopefuls are classified, legally speaking, as amateurs, they are not employed by the BOA or Locog and thus for these two organisations to insist on rules such as to maintain their Adidas sponsored kit in perpetuity, or to claim all of the British competitor's appearances or attributes as their commercial property, again in perpetuity, is quite frankly disgraceful and Parliament should step in to prevent this shocking breach of their Human Rights.
