All MPs to have work experience outside of politics
Becoming a politician has become a career. Many MPs have little experience of life as experienced by ordinary people, and an increasing number have done nothing other than work in the field of politics. This petition asks that before a person becomes eligible to stand for election to Parliament they should have spent at least 10 years in a proper job. The determination as to whether or not a person has met this criterion to be accomplished by placing an anonymised CV before a jury.
