Petition Action

Amendment to term time holidays fine for children aged 5 - 11

Additional Information

To request an amendment on the new ruling for fining parents wishing to take their children on holiday during term time for a maximum of 10 school days.

My request is that this should NOT be applied to children in Infant and Junior schools (aged 5 - 11)

Their are no major exams during this time and as long as children have an otherwise excellent attendance record quality time with parents and family is much more important emotionally and enables them to learn about other countries, currency and culture.

Aswell as the fact that to have a holiday means the family have worked hard why should they be penalised to spend more money by taking their holidays when they are much more expensive!
