Amendments required for Armed Forces in Data Protection Act 1998
As I believe that media’s involvement during the progress of a mission / operation carried out by the Armed Forces may have impact on the Armed Forces strategy, therefore I request the government to amend the Data Protection Act 1998 for Armed Forces which would enable the Armed Forces to carry out its mission / operation without any unnecessary interference from the media which would expose some information / aspects relating to the Armed Forces mission / operation. Hence, this amendment would enable the Armed Forces to carry out its mission / operation safely with minimal risk to the Armed Force personnel involved in it.
