Animal Overpopulation

Additional Information

I have worked in a lot of animal shelters and it made me realise that there is such a big problem with the overcrowding of animals and how a "No Kill" shelter can easily turn into a hoarding situation.

What we need to see change:

A stricter licencing system for breeders:
Up the age a dog can be bred from 1 Year to atleast 3 years.
Maximum of four litters in a lifetime apart from six.
Get a vet to approve breeding before a dog being bred.

All dogs should be spayed or neutered by law. Atleast certain breeds. Unless you have a licence to be a breeder. This will prevent thousands of unwanted animal births and also decrease the amount of dangerous dogs being brought into the world as it is normally the result of poor breeding and ownership.

Kittens and Puppies should not be allowed to be sold in a pet shop or online as you can't see behind the scenes conditions that the animals come from.
