Any law that will affect privacy/security of UK citizens must go to vote

Petition Details

Theresa May wants to push the "snoopers charter" and there is a lot of opposition, now David Cameron wishes to fast-track discussions in light of the Paris attacks - seen as using fear to get the right outcome for the party. Any vote that affects our privacy should be a put to public vote.

Additional Information

David Cameron just announced money for 1,900 new agents for MI5/6 etc as a result of the Paris attacks. This will cost the tax payer in year one at least £51,870,000 ( https://www.mi5.gov.uk/careers/graduate-careers/benefits-for-graduates.aspx ) on salaries alone (no food, travel, computer costs included).

In 2010 the cost of handling a poll was £84,600,000 ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-24842147 ). The money should be spent on a vote in the first instance.
