Assistance for areas in Great Britain flooded or damaged throughf climate change.
Climate change is affecting not only the world’s poorest countries but also areas of Great Britain. For example, changing rainfall patterns contribute to more frequent and severe flooding not only worldwide but also in Great Britain.
In times of such disaster in Great Britain then such funds should be provided in a similar manner as if the disaster had occurred elsewhere in the world for which the department may or would have made payment, contribution or donation from the International Climate Fund (ICF).
Such circumstances to then fall within this criteria are the floods in Somerset and severe damage caused to flood and sea defences elsewhere in Great Britain.
Help should be provided to assist those who have suffered and prepare for and deal with the impact of climate change to find new ways of coping with a changing climate
