Attack on Firefighter Pension Scheme

Additional Information

The Firefighters Pension scheme is under threat.
The Government want us to work longer, expect us to pay more than the 11.25% that we currently pay for a whole lot less than the expected benefits upon retirement.

The Fire Service HAS already made reforms in this area of Pensions Back in 2005.

So why oh why are there further attacks and cuts on a scheme which has made reform already?

The Hutton Report has stated the need for change but we've already made the REQUIRED changes
.
Do you want us to pay more into 'our' scheme? If so dont halve the benefits of retirement and force us to work longer for less.

The agreement we all signed, including the Government PROMISED us a specific package at a rate agreed at the time.Surely this means you have now MIS-SOLD pensions to thousands of us.

Please accept and embrace 'our' concerns.
Allow the Current and existing schemes to run their' course with additional contributions needed to maintain benefits upon retirement.
