Avail public transport to school pupil on discount rate/ free to reduce traffic.
School run adds high traffic, which affects every one in peak hours. Chances of accident is high and young pupil are at risk. Inappropriate parking near school is well evident, which affects locals and pedestrians. A discounted or free bus fair will encourage the parents to use public transport.
Less polution, traffic and safety are the additional benefit.

Bus fares are not set by the UK Government. Local bus operators (bus companies) are free to set their own fares. However, local transport authorities (usually local councils) have the power to set maximum fares in some circumstances.
If you would like bus fares in your local area to be lower, you could raise this with your local council. You can find out who your local councillor is here:
