Petition Details

We, the undersigned, demand the immediate export ban of arms & police equipment to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, until such time as Ali Mohammed al-Nimr & Raif Badawi have been released, as well as KSA undertaking to abide by international conventions, laws and norms with respect to human rights.

Sentenced to ‘Death by Crucifixion’ after a crackdown on anti-government protests, Ali Mohammed al-Nimr, was tortured and forced to sign a false confession when he was just 17. http://www.reprieve.org.uk/saudi-arabia-stop-the-crucifixtion-of-ali-al-nimr/

Writer and activist Raif Badawi was arrested on a charge of apostasy and insulting Islam. He was sentenced to 1,000 lashes and ten years in prison.
