Ban plastic bags in all stores and introduce paper bags.
It takes 500-1,000 years for plastic to degrade and approximately 500 billion plastics bags are used worldwide each year. 50% of plastic bags we use, are only used once and then thrown away.
Paper bags only takes a few months to decompose and is environmental friendly.
8 million tons of plastic is dumped into the worlds oceans each year.
