Petition Action

Britain and nuclear weapons.

Additional Information

We the undersigned citizens of Great Britain wish it to be known that there are no circumstances in which we would condone the use by our country of nuclear weapons against any people anywhere in the world.

In theory Britain’s nuclear weapons will be used only if we ourselves come under nuclear attack, effectively as a final act of revenge, of hatred, before we ourselves are annihilated. This is not who we are. The sound political and financial reasons for putting these weapons aside are secondary to the need for us to become a more thoughtful, caring and enlightened society and to show that face to the rest of the world.

We ask our government to end Britain’s nuclear capability.
