British support for the attack on the Golden Temple at Amritsar, India
The government has recently published documents under the 30 year rule that suggest the Foreign Office authorised military planning advice to the government of India in regard to the raid on the Golden Temple at Amritsar during 1984.
We would like the government to make a statement in the House of Commons as to how and why the secret decision was taken and what military support was given to India; publish all documents relating to this matter and consider an official apology to the Sikh community.
