Build a statue of Alan Turing in Parliament Square.

Petition Details

Alan Turing helped bring World War II to an end, pioneered computer science and predicted the potential of artificial intelligence. He's a true British hero yet was prosecuted for being gay. It's time to pay our collective respect and tribute to his work and life with a statue in Parliament Square.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the granting of planning permission in Parliament Square is a matter for Westminster City Council and not the UK Government or Parliament.
