Concorde fly-by for the 2012 Olympics

Additional Information

We have spent around £10bn staging the 2012 Olympics, showcasing Great Britain to the word.

What could be a more outstanding example of both our technological ingenuity and our ability to work with others than the fabulous aircraft, Concorde.

To have such an asset languishing in mothballs seems criminal when specialists believe they can have her flying in 6-7 weeks given the will and resources. Their efforts have been been frustrated, stymied and denied by a recalcitrant BA.

It is time the government put pressure on BA to at least allow others to Get Her Flying even if they don't have the patriotism to execute this task for themselves, for us, for the country.

See here:- http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2011/12/undercover-engineers-the-resurrection-of-concorde/

The will is there, apparently others such as Richard Branson have expressed interest in bringing Concorde back but have been rebuffed. Who knows what might happen if BA see's what interest she stirs up.
