Petition Action

Create a national qualification and vocational database

Additional Information

Create a national qualification and vocational experience database that people can only opt out of if they are currently employed or self employed.

The DWP should liase with all schools, colleges and universities to create a national database of people's educational achievements, vocational, voluntary experience, and an optional personal statement that Job Centre Plus staff can help clients to write.

Employers looking to hire somebody could then ask job centre staff to search the database who could then contact the person and suggest that they contact the employer and offer help such as interview preperation and buying suitable clothing for the interview.

We ask that this be seen as a good way of reducing unemployment and improving the state of the economy.
