Petition Details

A no confidence vote was last successfully used on 28 March 1979, when the minority government of James Callaghan. Workers rights and the defeat of the referendum led to the successful passage of a motion of no confidence.

Additional Information

The Prime Minister, David Cameron, in resigning has admitted no confidence in the Her Majesties Government referendum campaign where HMG campaigned for remain. The Septennial Act 1715 places a duty on the Prime Minister to request a dissolution from the Monarch before that date on the Prime Minister admission of no confidence in Her Majesties Government from the remain campaign. So we the British people can have an exit from European Union without delay.
