Driving standards test

Additional Information

In the past few months I have witnessed or heard of some very poor driving.

Namely a car travelling the wrong way up a motorway, the horrific accident in Kent and a cyclist in Glasgow going through a red light and being hit by a car.....the list goes on!!

Vocational licence holders have recently been told to complete a 35 hr drivers cpc every 5 years, which, in my opinion, is not fit for function as they can take the same 7hr course 5 times!

We, the undersigned, Would like to highlight the need for ALL road users - car, van, lgv, pcv, cyclists and powered mobility scooters to undertake a MANDATORY 5 yearly test, which should focus on the highway code and best practice. This test should result in an IMMEDIATE suspension should the test be failed below, say 60%, with a retest after 14 days, and a warning and a retest within 120 days if the result is below 75%.....This test must be included as a module in the new driver cpc.
