Petition Action

Ensure Formula 1 coverage remains on Free to air channels in United Kingdom

Additional Information

This petition is to attempt to secure public backing for the Government to overturn the arrangement where the FIA Formula 1 coverage has been taken up (in part) by Sky TV. Formula 1, currently aired on the BBC has attracted up to 10 million viewers and not only has a loyal fan base in the UK but also provides a significant amount of the people and technology in the sport. This peitition is seeking a review by the Government to secure the television rights of the full FIA Forumla 1 Grands Prix race series on a media that is available to one and all without the need to subscribe to a specific provider. Namely a free to air UK available television channel.
