Equality for Women in the Peerage

Additional Information

(This should be in Department for Women & Equalities but it is not in the drop down, why??)
This petition supports Equality for Women in the Peerage [Lord Lucas bill in the Lords, Mary MacLeod's bill in the Commons]
We want an end to the sexist anachronism of older girls being born 'less than' their younger brothers.
We support the inheritance of the first-born whether male OR female in the same way the royal family now does. The Swedes started it, then the Danes followed & more recently the Spanish followed. Now it is the turn of the UK to wake up & smell the 21st century.
Like corruption, fairness trickles down from the top & the peerage must modernise.
Unlike Inequality, Equality Never Hurts Anyone.
