Freeze Fuel Duty

We - the undersigned implore the government to place a freeze on fuel duty.

In addition to the impact on stretched family finances, it's crippling many businesses & impacting on food prices, all increasing inflation, which will ultimately impact on wage demands leading to increased strike and union action.

No-one benefits from these continued price increases, but for some it goes further, inhibiting the ability of the disabled and those living in rural communities getting out and about - with many having to compromise on basics such as food and clothes to ensure they can use their vehicles for essential travel such as getting back and fore to work.
Many areas of the UK don’t have good transport infrastructures with people potentially becoming prisoners in their own home.

This is not helping the economy, the work situation and ultimately, could lead to repeats of blockades, strikes and even civil unrest as jobs diminish and family finances are cut back further.
