George Osbourne stripped of his role as MP now he is editor of Evening Standard

Petition Details

Being an MP is a full time job, as is being an editor of a national newspaper. It is inappropriate and dishonest for an MP to claim his salary taking up a full time working position for the government whilst also being editor of one of the largest news publications.

Additional Information

It is also a conflict of interest. It is one thing politicians allowing the media to communicate their views, it is another for them to directly control large sections of the media.
