Foster carers are employed 24/7 looking after children disadvantaged in life . Foster carers have no employment rights. they should. foster carers are classes as self employed but they can not be employed by more that one IFA. Foster carers have no rights Nationaly ther is a shortage of foster carers .foster carer should be able to choose which IFA authority needs their help in fostering a looked after child. If a independant fostering agency can not provide work for a foster carer, then the foster carer should be able to choose without re-training. Foster carers work 24/7 with little and no support from social services and their IFA. Foster carers should be able to telephone local authorities, when the carer has a free bed to give to a looked after child. foster carer should be treated as a normal employee holidays, pension, and all the other benefits employees get that goes with employment.
