Petition Action

Give Veterans Top priority into social housing and remove the 5 year limitation,

Additional Information

The Veterans Association UK requests that the government give all veterans top priority in obtaining social housing either upon leaving H.M.Forces or after leaving if homeless without any time restrictions.

We also ask the government to change the current wording in the law which urges councils to follow this statuary guidelines to council must comply as it is law and highlight that no locality links are required for veterans.

The government set up the military covenant for veterans and their families and keep saying about the debt of gratitude owed to veterans, now is the time to pay the debt.
