Petition Action

Help people spent convictions of cautions gain employment by increased filtering

Petition Details

At the moment people with spent convictions or minor cautions find it hard to gain employment. Even if they have turned their lives around! Surely its not right people should pay for cautions of a minor nature for up to 6 years after the date of the offence. Reduce the time in which filtering starts

Additional Information

Many people have been rejected from university courses and viable jobs on the basis of minor cautions and have been prevented from turning their lives around! Surely it cannot be good for the wider public to support people using the benefits system just because they have been unable to turn their lives around after making a concerted effert! This is madness
