Increase in support for mental health, for UK University students.

Petition Details

•NUS has found that of 1,200 higher education students surveyed, 20 per cent consider themselves to have a mental health problem, while 13 per cent have suicidal thoughts.

•Higher Educational Funding Council- mental health problems have increased dramatically from 8,000 to 18,000 in four years- 2012-2013
•Ruth Caleb, chair of Universities UK's mental well-being working group- counselling services facing annual rise of demand of about 10%, could mean 115,000 seeking help.
