Petition Action

Inform and instruct the British public on the implications of the EU referendum

Petition Details

With haste,

We ask for Parliament to have a frank and informative discussion in regards the potential process and implications of leaving the EU. To clarify and explain the unqualified statements regarding NHS funding, existing EU citizens living in the UK and its economic and cultural impact.

Additional Information

We also ask for Parliament to address the concerns of the youth. With the Scottish independence referendum in mind, we ask how Parliament aims to consult with those not entitled to vote in the referendum and how it aims to reduce the tensions felt by those excluded from a consultation directly affecting their immediate future.

It is in the National interest to allow citizens of the UK to have personal discussions and professional planning based on fact and potential outcomes.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

It is clear that you would like more discussion and information about the implications of leaving the EU. It is not clear what action you would like the UK Parliament and Government to take. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
