Install CCTV inside ALL Mental Health Units to Stop Abuse and Prosecute Offenders
There are physically abuse's occurring in Medium secure mental health units EVERYDAY due to a Lack of CCTV cameras on the ward. Staff feel free to abuse patients in the form of "Play fighting" because they find the lack of Cameras on the units "encouraging" and it also puts patients at risk of being accused of making false allegations if they dare to report a concern because - theres NO CCTV FOOTAGE TO PROOF AN INCIDENT OCCURRED.
Despite the fact young people with mental health needs are the most vulnerable group in Society theres no CCTV cameras in NHS secure forensic wards to safeguard patients from Physical abuse in particular by Staff members who feel above the LAW in this country due to a lack of Cameras in the units to capture footage of them "Kicking and Slapping patients"...
The public wants patients to feel Safe when receiving appropriate medical treatment...Staff should not feel Above the Law...Lack of CCTV should NOT mean immunity from prosecution
