Let the LGBTQ+ people of Chechnya flee to England to escape Concentration Camps.

Petition Details

Chechnya has opened the world's first concentration camp for homosexuals since Hitler where campaigners say gay men are being tortured with electric shocks and beaten to death. It is claimed that among those detained are well-known local television personalities and religious figures.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

In accordance with international obligations, a well-founded fear of persecution on account of sexual orientation or gender identity is already one of the grounds on which asylum can be granted. It is not clear what further action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
