Petition Action

Make it compulsory in all UK schools to learn about finance and budget: tax etc.

Petition Details

Children and teenagers leave school uneducated about the important parts of living and if a student doesn’t have someone to teach them this, then how will they learn otherwise about finance and budget like mortgages, rent and tax etc, I am an 18 year old that has no knowledge of any of this myself.

Additional Information

An example of a 17 year old I know: who has had a bad childhood without a parent/parents or has a bad relationship with them and may get kicked out of their own home at the age of 16 and has no where to go, social workers didn’t help and now that person has to figure out a new life and without that knowledge it’s stress and those things also cause mental health problems which impacts on a persons health aswell as their whole life.
