Petition Action

Make politics a compulsory GCSE in all schools.

Petition Details

Many of the children of today look to their parents for guidance of who or what to vote for, or worryingly to the press.

I believe that children should be taught about our political system in schools so that each pupil has enough grounding to inform their future decisions.

Additional Information

We educate our children about religion in schools so surely it makes sense to educate them in making informed decisions on theirs and their children's future.

The Huffington Post helps eloquently explain why and how this could be done: http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/liam-mclaughlin/politics-should-be-taught-at-school_b_1278971.html
