Petition Action

N H S FINANCES - no compensation claims - medical staff insurance - % success rate of operations - no free prescriptions

Additional Information

As the NHS is public funded it makes no sense to sue ourselves .

Medical staff to carry sufficient insurance in line with their expertise .

All medical procedures carry degrees of risk, a hospitals % to be displayed & patients made aware prior to any operation so all are know the risks involved .

As the number of people elegible for free prescriptions grows the prospect of free medical for life is becoming very expensive - when the NHS bill was debated in the House of Commons, it was thought that as people got healthier they would use the NHS less & the debate was on initial costs .

£1 per prescription page is affordable by everyone , there should be no exceptions outside of hospital inmates .

Some very expensive drugs are outside the NHS budget but if the need arises & their medical advisor agrees then it should be possible to obtain & pay for it via the NHS channels
