Petition Action

Negotiate treaty with the EU that allow UK citizens to retain EU citizenship

Petition Details

This would be largely symbolic and would be a counter to the growing nationalism within the UK which is a poison. It points to the ideal of international citizenship where borders become of little importance and would enable UK citizens to hold dual EU and UK nationality.

Additional Information

It could also give protection to EU citizens under the Human Rights Act within the UK and offer other benefits within the EU.
