No homework in School holidays

Petition Details

Children are being set hours of homework to do in the days and weeks that they have to relax and NOT to be doing work! It should be a legal requirement that teachers cannot set written homework in holidays therefore leaving revision as the only exception for work in the holidays

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Decisions about when to set homework are decisions for schools and their governing bodies to make.

If you would like the Department for Education to issue guidelines, or impose requirements on schools, you could start a petition asking for that.
