No state funeral for Maggie Thatcher or Grand Public funeral (as planned) similar to the funerals for Princess Diana or the Queen Mum.
Mrs Thatcher's death and funeral is a private matter for her family.
It is not a public occasion and does not need a public funeral of any kind.
She did not want a State Funeral. She also said she did not want a public funeral on the grounds of cost. She would object to the planned public funeral for this reason alone.
She was not royalty.
She has lived as a private individual since her resignation as PM.
She was a divisive person and her passing does not need marking in this way.
Use the money for the living, not the dead.
