Party Manifestos

Additional Information

It is evident over the last few years that all major political parties have put things in their party manifestos that they have ignored.

I want political manifestos to become legally binding documents, which are monitored throughout the course of the parliament and the chairman of the party who publish it should be accountable for its delivery. Further more, every manifesto should include bullet points to cover all the main areas of government.

I want a separate section of e-petitions should be devoted to party manifestoes and the public should have the opportunity to say what they want included in the manifestoes of ALL major parties so that a distinction can be drawn. E.g. we want to know your parties attitude to increasing tuition fees, or the UK’s future in the EU, or what will your party do to fuel prices in the next parliament, this SINGLE document should then be published by an independent analyst, having explained the implications of each stand point.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
