Petition Action

People who are innocent of a crime should have their details removed from the Police National Computer (PNC) and Police National Database (PND)

Additional Information

The government needs to revise how the details of people who were found to be innocent or were never proven guilty of a crime are kept on Police databases for.

Our Justice system is one of innocent until proven guilty however as things stand a person needs to have an 'exceptional' reason to be able to get their details wiped of the PNC and PND. A new system needs to be put in place that also looks after the interests of the innocent as well as victims of crime.
