Petition Action

Petition to withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights

Additional Information

This petition recognises and supports human-rights but believes that the current system has been abused and manipulated, contrary to the rule-of-law, and other valued British democratic values.

This petition calls for the UK government to repeal the Human Rights Act (1998) and withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights (1950).

It supports the creation of a British Bill of Rights and the repatriation of powers to UK courts as opposed to those in Strasbourg.
