Plans to dock disability benefit by fines if claimants break

Additional Information

Recently revealed plans for disasbility benefit claimants to be fined at a higher rate than the £28-odd currently
removed if they breach 'work plans' are another attack on those least able to defend themselves.
The major factors are: ASOS, whose approach to screening people is so reductive it borders on actual kafka-esque madness: the practice of deducting 'fines' according to a reductive formule; the proposal to increase those fines to a point where people would not have enough to live on and eat in the same week.
We call on this government to show some decency
in reviewing the current and producing an effectivefuture means deliverying support to disabled people.
