Petition Action

Police to have the authority to delete indecent images of children from a sexual offenders computer.

Additional Information

The return of the computer and mobile would breach articles three and eight of the European Convention on Human Rights, which protect against inhuman treatment and invasion of privacy, respectively.

This cannot be allowed if a sexual offender is allowed to keep an indecent image of a child on their computer then how does this serve justice for the child when the sexual offenders will keep offending. Police should have the power for the justice of the children who are being put through an unlawful crime, to be able to delete the images of the children to prevent the offender from committing the crime again.

What I'd like the government to do, is to be able to change the law for sexual offenders to have the images of their victims as well as images of indecent images of children to be permanently deleted from their computer.
