This petition calls on the Government to make the State Old Age Pension payable for all at age 63 and to pay a one-off payment at that age to those retiring of £50,000 (tax free) in addition to accrued benefits to be paid monthly (taxable). Employers to be required to employ on a one for one basis for at least 12 months one person under 28 years of age for every person retired under this scheme. on a salary no less than 2/3rds that of the person retiring. Individuals could opt-out but would not receive the lump sum payment and would not get OAP payments until they freed up a working place.
