Petition Action

Prevent state schools from teaching religious viewpoints as fact

Additional Information

All too often young, impressionable people are presented with the teachings of religious texts as fact.

I propose the alternative of teaching religious theory, while separately teaching young people the importance of moral values of benefit to the community, without the religious pretext, better preparing them for a life in which they are answerable to society, rather than a god in which they may or may not believe.
