Petition Action

Prisons need to be tough - a deterrent not a holiday camp

Additional Information

Prison is too soft and not a deterrent to many.
The discipline regime should be zero tolerance.
Cells should be basic.
Food should be basic.
There should be no television.
There should be no mobile phones or computers.
There should be no games tables.
There should be no gang heirachy in prison. Those that step out of line should be punished by doing hard labour.
The Government needs to change the ethos of prison, it should be a hard place that's unpleasant and somewhere prisoners don't want to re-visit.
