RAISE HUMANS NOT ROBOTS- reduce emphasis on nationalised testing in schools

Petition Details

Every year 1000s of 15-16 year olds across the country are forced to sit the GCSEs. What the education ministers do not realise is the harm this severe pressure causes such young people causing mental health problems, this year it was estimated that 1 in 10 children have mental health problems.

Additional Information

As Einstein (the cleverest of them all) said, 'Everyone is a genius, But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it's stupid'.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about testing in schools, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
