Petition Action

Reassess access to bus passes and road safety for secondary school children.

Petition Details

East Riding council believe it is safe for school children 11-16 to walk almost 6 Miles per day to and from school.
Some routes taking them on roads without adequate footpath and lighting.
This is putting children at high risk and expecting them to walk this far could affect their education.

Additional Information

West leys road swanland is now deemed safe to walk down despite having no footpath or street lights.
This same road was deemed unsafe 2 years ago, despite nothing changing.
This is an ongoing issue in the village of swanland, it is affecting families now and will continue to until something is changed.
