Petition Action

REDUCTION OF FOREIGN AID

Additional Information

I HAVE READ TODAY THAT 0.7% IS SOUGHT FOR FOREIGN AID BY INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT SECRETARY ANDREW MITCHELL.WITH LARGE SUMS GOING ANNUALLY TO ECONOMIES SUCH AS INDIA,WITH IT'S OWN SPACE AND AID PROGRAMME AS WELL AS DICTATORSHIPS SUCH AS ZIMBABWE, WITH IT'S APPALLING HUMAN RIGHTS RECORD. TOO MUCH IS BEING SPENT ON AID,DURING A SEVERE ECONOMIC DOWNTURN AND FOREIGN AID SHOULD BE CAPPED AT 0.3% OF GDP.
