Regulate Private Parking Companies Effectively - reform Protection of Freedom Act 2012

We demand the proper Regulation of Private Parking Companies and:-

1. Section 4 of the Protection of Freedom Act 2012 be repealed immediately, except for the controls on clamping.
2. A Code of Practice for control of private parking be introduced.
3. Retail or restaurant outlets on multi-occupied sites should be authorised to cancel any "fine" issued to bona-fide customers
4. Claims/"fines" to truly reflect the loss to the tenants, site owner or business(es).
5. Full consultation with ALL interested parties to take place immediately with members of the public entitled to a view, and all sites to be licensed locally to allow democratic accountability and local regulation.
6. All Private Parking Companies to pre-qualify with DVLA as suitable to obtain vehicle details before applying for a licence to operate a car park from the sites Local Authority.
