Petition Action

reinstate tax allowances for pensioners frozen in budget

Additional Information

This Government must reverse the decision to freeze the Tax allownces for pensioners announced in the Budget on 21 March 2012, which is planned to come into effect in Tax year 2013/2014 and will cost Pensioners £m's.on top of the Income Tax they already pay.
This iniquitous back door tax penalty on the elderly in this country is being used to REDUCE the tax liabilty of the rich from 50 to 45p, who will STILL avail themselves of Tax avoidance ploys.
If this Government STOPPED ALL overseas aid and QUIT the EU, the money saved could be used to reinstate the Tax cuts which have been already announced and for the future ones still to be announced.
The monies raised in this country by the Government, should be used solely for the benefit of residents of this country.
